We have had a bit of an office re-jig recently and we also welcome Lisa and Lorna to our office team. After complete refurbishment we have now been handed the keys to our new 18,000 square feet warehouse - this extra warehouse will be used for bulk storage of key product lines and as an extra goods in facility. Which should be good with Christmas coming up!

The wholesale arm of Croft & Co became part of Trust Pet Products back in June. Tim joined us and I am very pleased to say that be is really enjoying his new challenge and is looking forward to the next few years here. We have some great plans looking forward and Tim really wants to be part of them so keep coming back to check this news section oiut! By the way, do you like our new logo?

So, where has the time gone! Our continued investment has continued this year - an extra forklift truck was delivered earlier this year and a few months ago we took delivery of a shrink wrapping machine. This results in less plastic used and a neater pallet delivered which, of course, helps our drivers and our customers!

We have just been given the go ahead from the Carbon Trust to change our entire lighting system - warehouse, yard and offices. Once completed it will help us reduce our impact on the environmnet even further by reducing our electricity usage on lighting by over 80%. And considering they are on 24/7 that is good news for our children! This £30,000 investement should be completed by the end of 2010.

Well here we are - winter nearly upon us and already peanuts in severe shortage and shooting up in price! Anyway, our warehouse development continues - adding a further 1000 square feet of space for cages will make picking a little easier!

The final website improvements within the ordering process has now gone live! You can now add each new order to your favourites list to build up a complete listing of all products you have bought from us! Improvements to the website! We have introduced a tab at the top of the screen for the general public to find their nearest pet shop. Hopefully, this will push customers your way! If your business does not appear please please please let us know. We have also simplified the ordering process which results in less clicks. Further improvements are on their way very soon so keep a look out! We have also completed phase 3 of our warehouse investment. Two more to go!

Thanks to our customers we've never been busier so to help the office run more smoothly we welcome Janetta to the team. She comes with a mission to makes us more efficient and before very long will have us all in line!! She will be answering the telephone so be kind, and she also makes an excellent cup of tea or coffee if you're passing by!!!

A new member of our team joins us. Steve Peters has joined us from Best Pets where he gained valuable experience in the pet trade. We have a brand new look price list out. We have had so many price increases imposed on us it’s quite unbelievable!!
January 2008
Our January 2008 price list is now issued. The increase in business we have seen recently means that we have taken delivery of a long term rental truck until our new vehicles arrive in 12 months time! This makes 9 delivery vehicles!

Ahhh!!! Computer server failure!! Apologies for any inconvenience caused during the day but we are now back up and running. We have installed a state of the art server and improved our backing up procedures even further.

We welcome a new face in the office, Stuart Colegate. He arrives with a wealth of experience from our sister company and will be a very useful addition to the office staff.

Our barcode picking software goes live. We now pick with scanners eliminating 99% of picking errors. It has resulted in much better picking, cleaner and clearer invoices and better in house records of who picked what and when.
